When Karastan, renowned manufacturer of classically inspired carpets and rugs, realized their web presence was not effectively communicating the brand's story and truly showcasing their respected products, they engaged Circumerro Media's expertise in web design. Circumerro quickly went to work on the project, incorporating rich media with extensive video and image galleries to redesign and energize Karastan's brand online.
The site's home page utilizes video and Scene7 technology to walk visitors through the Karastan production process from start to finish, provides background information on the company's sustainable and eco-friendly approaches and includes a design and create tool for customized product selection.
With additional features such as interactive product zooms, a dealer locator with proximity search integrated to Google, and a My Karastan account that connects users with products and retailers in a personalized profile, the site highlights Karastan's luxury products and educates visitors on their design process.
Karastan celebrity Statement Makers also make an appearance on the site, with expanded videos, room scene galleries and interviews.
The extensive project was developed on a Microsoft.net platform using the Ectron content management system. "The end result is a site we are very proud of that equally demonstrates our design capabilities within a new industry for us," added Noah Water, Creative Services Director at Circumerro.
